Leon County government 'All In' on reducing crime

LEON COUNTY, Fla. — The Leon County government is now All In on reducing crime in the community.

Tuesday at the Leon County Commissioners meeting, commissioner Jimbo Jackson announced the commissioners partnership with the sheriffs offices new initiative, to decrease violence in the county.

Leon County Sheriff Walt McNeil says it will take the entire community to reduce crime.

“The biggest message we want to say and thank you for the proclamation, is that this requires each and every one of us understanding that we play a role in trying to do something about the crime that we see here in Leon County," said Sheriff McNeil.

Commissioners say that if everyone buys into the initiative, it will greatly reduce violence in the community.
