TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Thousands of people are without power in the Big Bend area and South Georgia following a tornado Wednesday afternoon.

City of Tallahassee customers facing outages as of 4:04 p.m., Wednesday:
There are 201 outages, affecting 4,385 customers.
Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative customers facing outages as of 3:18 p.m., Wednesday:
- Suwannee County: Seven outages, 48 customers affected.
- Hamilton County: Two outages, 177 customers affected.
Duke Energy customers facing outages as of 3:18 p.m., Wednesday:
- Jefferson County: One outage, two customers affected.
- Madison County: One outage, 40 customers affected.
- Wakulla County: One outage, two customers affected.
Georgia Power customers facing outages as of 2:50 p.m., Wednesday:
- Lowndes County: One outage, less than five customers affected.
A line of storms has been moving through the area since 11 a.m.
Law enforcement and emergency management officials in the area have also reported damage at the Tallahassee International Airport, and have closed it temporarily.
