TPD: Search of Great Lakes Street home turns up guns, drugs

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — We have an update on the police activity we told you about Friday. Police say after a thorough investigation, lasting several months, they arrested two convicted felons who were seen with guns on multiple occasions around Tallahassee.

The Tactical Apprehension and Control Team raided a home on Great Lakes Street. While searching the home, two guns were found along with bath salts, cocaine and oxycodone pills.

Twenty-six-year-old Lawrence Andrews and 27-year-old Emmanuel Smith are charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Another person, 23-year-old Jeremiah Gilley Jr., was arrested on unrelated charges, which include warrants for bank fraud, uttering, and grand theft.

Police say drug charges are pending.

We're working to learn more about a police presence in Southwest Tallahassee near Great Lakes Street.

Neighborhood reporter Terry Gilliam is on scene. Several law enforcement vehicles are in the neighborhood.
