Georgia public safety officials to receive $1K bonus checks

GEORGIA (WTXL) — Georgia public safety officials will soon receive $1,000 supplemental payments, Governor Brian Kemp said Monday.

Kemp said the funds are courtesy of "federal coronavirus relief funds.”

Eligible employees include criminal investigators, probation and parole officers, career firefighters, EMTs and paramedics, sheriffs and deputies, 911 officers and dispatchers.
