THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Thomasville Police Department are investigating "suspicious circumstances" surrounding a threatening letter sent to Thomasville High School.
According to TPD, the letter contained a threat to personnel at the high school and was received Monday morning.
Both TPD and the GBI are on scene investigating the "suspicious circumstances" surrounding the threatening letter.
"Parents have been asked to make arrangements to pick up their High School students. All applicable safety measures and protocols are being followed to ensure the safety of students and employees," TPD wrote in a message shared to Facebook.
Police have not released any additional details in the case at this time.
TPD said that they will file charges as appropriate and update the public.
