Gadsden County pastor accused of molestation released from jail

GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A Gadsden County pastor accused of molesting multiple children has been released from jail.

Pastor Arthur Louis Ivey, 60, of Quincy has been released on a $60,000 bond.

According to court documents, a motion for his release was filed on July 31. The motion was granted and Ivey was released Friday night.

He is accused of reportedly molesting multiple children he knew, according to the Gadsden County Sheriff's office. Prior to his arrest, Ivey served as the pastor of Friendship Primitive Baptist Church and as an employee at the Gadsden County School District.

A case management hearing has been set for October 3.

The pastor of Friendship Primitive Baptist Church and employee of the Gadsden County School District has been arrested after being charged with lewd and lascivious molestation on a child.

The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office says that Pastor Arthur Louis Ivey, 60, of Quincy has been arrested for two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child.

After an investigation into allegations that he reportedly molested multiple children, a probable cause affidavit was submitted to the State Attorney’s Office and a warrant was issued for Ivey’s arrest.

Ivey was arrested Friday. He was booked and is being held in the Gadsden County Jail on no bond.
