GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Department of Health is opening a new drive-thru COVID-19 testing site in Gadsden County.
The drive-thru testing site will be located in Quincy at Capital Regional Medical Center’s Gadsden Campus ER, 23186 Blue Star Highway.
The site will open for the first time this coming Saturday.
Testing times in May will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, and 1p.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The testing site does not require a physician referral to be tested, and will serve both symptomatic and asymptomatic residents.
The Department’s goal is to provide up to 50 tests per day and encourages residents to schedule an appointment before visiting.
Residents may begin scheduling appointments Thursday, May 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. by calling 850-329-0685.
The site was established though partnerships with local healthcare providers including Capital Regional Medical Center, Neighborhood Medical Center and Gadsden Emergency Services.
