GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A governmental building in Gadsden County was evacuated Wednesday morning after someone called in a bomb threat.
Around 10 a.m., the Gadsden County Sheriff's office was alerted by the Gadsden county administrator's office about an alleged bomb threat.
The threat was received via voicemail at approximately 8:27 a.m. and targeted the Edward J. Butler governmental complex in Gadsden County.
Due to the threat, GCSO's Quick Response Team, along with the Quincy Police Department, immediately evacuated the building and secured the streets surrounding the complex.
Assisted by the Leon County Hazardous Device Mobile Unit and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Bomb Squad and K-9 team, deputies searched the building.
After a search of the building, there were no devices of concern found.
At this time, no arrests have been made for the bomb threat.
