GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — After 150 years of using the same buildings for the Robert F. Munroe Day School, Gadsden County school officials say its time for an upgrade.
Tuesday night, Gadsden County voted unanimously to relocate Robert F. Munroe Day School.
The county will provide appropriate land use change, for the site they plan to build on.
Not only that, its expected the school will get upgrades, like newer technology and a better athletic facility.
Countless teachers, school employees, parents, and people from the community of the new proposed area, showed up to voice their support.
"The gentleman you have that's heading this project had answers to every question, and every concern. So it has been well vetted, and you are prepared tonight. How can we do anything other than agree to move forward? This is an asset," said Sherrie D. Taylor, District 5 Commissioner.
The county will now move on to Phase 1 of the approved proposal.
