TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida State University's Police Department said a bomb threat is what shut down FSU's Stone Building.
FSU PD added that the call that came into consolidated dispatch originated from Ethiopia.
Just moments after FSU's Tallahassee campus received their bomb threat, their Panama City campus received the same message.
According to a spokesperson for FSU PD, they were one of 13 colleges here in Florida that received bomb threats. Some of those schools include Florida Gateway College in Lake City and Flagler Technical College in Palm Coast. Both of those threats were confirmed by their sheriff's departments' Facebook pages.
UPDATE 1:27 p.m.: According to FSU Alert, all warnings have expired or been canceled, so normal activities can resume.
According to FSU Alert, Florida State University's emergency notification system, there is a heavy police presence at Stone Building and the building has been evacuated.
The message states that the building has been evacuated out of an abundance of caution and to avoid the area until further notice.
