TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida State Multidisciplinary Center is offering behavioral health groups for children and their parents at no charge.

They take place on zoom every Tuesday and Thursday between now and July 9.

The sessions are broken into several groups: Social skills, self-regulation, parent skills and child stress and resiliency.

Dr. Amber Farrington explained why they're building this summer's program around those groups.

"We've tried a few different groups and we decided which ones were a hit in the community and which ones weren't as needed," said Dr. Farrington. "Since then we've shaped the groups that we offer to offer the ones that filled up really quickly."

Registration ends Thursday.
