JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WTXL) — Former Jaguars LB Telvin Smith has been arrested in Jacksonville and charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Department of Corrections.

According to JSO, Smith's bond has been set at $50,003. He was booked on Wednesday at 5:20 p.m.

Smith graduated from Lowndes High and played football at Florida State University.

The Associated Press reports that Smith announced last April that he was stepping away from football to “get my world in order.”

He was a fifth-round draft pick from Florida State in 2014.

This is a developing story.
