FHP: 24-year-old killed in early morning crash on Springhill Road

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers say a 24-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car while walking near Springhill Road early Monday morning.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened Monday around 5:50 a.m. on Springhill Road just south of Windy Pine Way in Leon County,

FHP says the crash involved a single vehicle and a pedestrian.

During the investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was traveling northbound on Springhill Road when it hit the pedestrian.

After the crash, the pedestrian was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare where they were later pronounced deceased.

The crash victim has been identified as a 24-year-old woman. Authorities have not released the woman's name at this time.

FHP have not announced charges against the driver in the crash.


Troopers say a fatal crash is causing a roadblock on Springhill Road and Windy Pine Way in Tallahassee.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened Monday around 6:07 a.m. on Springhill Road.

FHP is reporting a fatality and a roadblock in the area.

At this time, we don't know how many vehicles were involved in the crash.

Authorities are urging drivers to use caution when traveling in the area.
