FAMU President receives COVID-19 vaccine

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Florida A&M University President Dr. Larry Robinson received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine Thursday.

He was among the first at the university to do so and was followed by members of the FAMU Senior Leadership Team who are 65 years or older. Once his shot was complete, he called the process easy and says he hopes his example leads the way for others in the university and our community.

"We cannot get safe on our campus communities are churches and places that we like to go infrequent until we get significant members of our community vaccinated and I hope this helps to send a message to all of them that this is OK and in fact beyond that it is essential," said Robinson.

Dr. Robinson is Scheduled to receive his second dose on February 19.
