TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — It's National Bike Month and Tallahassee is full of places to get out and ride.

But commissioners want to let you know about some trails you might not have heard of.

For example, there's a bike trail in Cascades Park that passes through Florida A&M University and Railroad Square, and connects with the Saint Marks Bike Trail, and that rides for 26 miles down to the coast.

There's also a new trail planned to extend the Miccosukee Greenway by 10 miles.

"One of the reason people come to this town is because of the amenities the town offers and things like walking and biking trails are big part of that," said Bryan Desloge, Leon County Commissioner. "So we're hoping people get out. We need to improve the signs a little bit. We need to make it more user friendly."

Commissioner Desloge says they also need to do a better job of letting people know where bike trails start and stop, so more people will start using them.
