TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Elder Care Services has seen around 50 requests from seniors for space heaters for their homes in the last few weeks.
The facility collected over 75 heaters during their annual heater drive in December.
"The community is so generous and thinking of seniors, especially during the pandemic," said Jocelyne Fliger, CEO of Elder Care Services. "So anytime we've had these requests, we were able to clear our waiting lists before. We're very hopeful we can do that again."
If you would like to donate new or gently used space heaters, they can be dropped off at Elder Care Services at 2518 W Tennessee St. Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
