VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — The city of Valdosta wants you to show a little extra love this February.

Their main street office is preparing now to kick off a month-long Love downtown campaign where visitors can rack up extra bucks just by shopping the downtown businesses they either already know or can grow to love.

"Of course we have amazing shopping in our downtown," says Valdosta Main Street Director Ellen Hill, adding"great restaurants, places to go visit. And you know we just want to make sure everybody remembers especially during this time of year it's a little bit slower for our merchants after the holiday rush. But even now, with the pandemic going on, we want to make sure we're supporting our local businesses as much as possible."

For every $25 spent in a downtown business, patrons will be entered to win 200 downtown dollars at the end of February.
