TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Session began earlier this week and one bill that is being pushed is visitation rights for grandparents.
RIght now a grandparent can only petition the court if the chlid's parents have died and the surviving parent is unfit.
This bill addresses criminal cases where one parent died under violent or criminal circumstances and the other parent cut off contact with the family.
