GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Florida Highway Patrol says a 63-year-old Crawfordville man died in Gadsden County following a single-car crash on State Road 267 at Hopkins Landing Road on Tuesday.
According to the report, the vehicle was traveling north on Pat Thomas Parkway and, as the car approached a left-curve the right-front tire “appeared to malfunction, and the tire tread separated” causing the vehicle to travel onto the east shoulder down an embankment.
FHP says the car overturned onto its left side. The left side of the vehicle's undercarriage struck a tree, followed by the front of the car striking another tree.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin was notified.
The man's identity has not yet been released.
