COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. — The temperatures are warming up, and Colquitt is getting ready for their 36th annual National Mayhaw Festival.
The first of many events celebrating the seasonal berry is the Mayhaw Golf Classic Tournament, where golfers will tee off Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
Although the golf tournament is less than 24 hours away, it's not too late to join the game.
"You can register up until tee time at 1:30 eastern time. It's $60 per player or $240 per team," said Mandy Roland, Colquitt Miller County Chamber of Commerce Director.
Golfers can win various prizes during the tournament, but the money made from each Mayhaw Festival event benefits the Colquitt Miller County Chamber of Commerce.
