HAVANA, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating an accident after a car crashed into a Havana home, sparking a fire.
According to FHP, the accident happened at about 5:44 p.m. Tuesday along Highway 27 and Charlotte Lane.
FHP says a 44-year-old Havana woman was traveling northbound on US Highway 27 in Gadsden County and for unknown reasons, drove off the road.
The woman hit two utility poles before colliding with a mobile home, which caused the car and mobile home to catch fire. The mobile home was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
FHP stated the woman was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
