ATLANTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Brooks County was back in a State title game Friday, as they took on Dublin in Atlanta for the AA State Championship. The Trojans fell 42-32, and while it wasn't how the Trojans or their fans wanted the 2019 season to end, getting to this point is still something to be proud of.
"We just didn't come through in the end. Made some big mistakes. They are very, very talented football team," said head coach Maurice Freeman. "The mistakes we made cost us in the end. It was a great fight. Enjoy games like that. Carried ourselves the entire season for a team like that and we just didn't come through in the end."
The Trojans finished the year 10-5.
