TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Power in prayer. Images captured at the Justice for Humanity walk Wednesday tell the story of a community united by faith.

That spirit of unity and togetherness is continuing with the Bond's Community's 'A Call to Action Prayer Vigil.'

Organizers say this vigil is not only for healing, but for figuring out exactly how they can avoid tragedy.

Neighbors still feeling the pain of a violent couple of weeks nationwide but also in the area, from the fatal stabbing to officer-involved shootings and multiple other shootings.

After prayer, the vigil will move to talk about about ways to strengthen the community.

A big part of strengthening it is addressing mental health.

"How do we come together? How do we heal? How do we acknowledge that we're hurting? How do we have to grieve and go through the process, but after we've done that, how does healing begin? I think it begins with all of us coming together," said Talethia Edwards, the organizer of the event.

Faith leaders, city leaders, and even mental health experts will talk with the community about moving forward at Walker Ford Community Center in Bond.

The vigil will last for a few hours. Everyone is invited to attend.
