BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) — The Bainbridge Public Safety “Kids ‘n Kops” program is partnering with The Oak House Children’s Advocacy Center, Bainbridge Pepsi, and Isaacs Bakery to provide free lunches for all Decatur County school-aged children and teens.
Everyday from noon to 1 p.m., the school district will hand out free lunches. The lunches will have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, fruit, cookies, and a drink.
Pepsi General Manager Kevin Horton says it's a critical time for companies to give back to the communities they serve.
"We don't want anyone to go hungry," said Horton. "This is one of those times where we need to be out in front of a diseases or sickness rather that that's ravaging the world, and if we can spread some positivity amidst it, we're all for it."
These lunches are for the children who might not get food outside of school. The free lunches will continue as long as supplies last.
