Arrest made following Colquitt County High School bomb threat

COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) — An arrest was made Saturday a day after a bomb threat was made to Colquitt County High School via social media.

On Feb. 26, the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office was notified about a bomb threat made to the Colquitt County High School on social media. No bombs were located at the high school, according to CCSO officials.

After an investigation, authorities charged Elphonso Moore Sr. with one count of felony terrorists and acts and took him into custody on Saturday where he is currently at the Colquitt County Jail.

The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, Albany Police Department, Georgia Department of Corrections and Moody Air Force Base assisted in the investigation.
