TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The after effects of Hurricane Michael has people running to the pump. Most of the gas stations in the area are out of gas except for a select few.

A few gas stations in Tallahassee have lines backed up for miles. Traffic into the gas station is being directed by employees.

Some customers had to travel from out of town in order to get a full tank. One customer we spoke to is nothing but thankful.

"I'm feeling blessed that the gas station is open. I'm feeling blessed that I was in line not more than an hour," said Q.B. Cummings, resident of Sneads, Fla. "If you would have seen the disaster area I just left in Jackson County, there's no gas, no electricity, no pumps, then you'd be thankful to be where I am right now."

The Pilot and Shell gas stations on West Tennessee Street are some of a few that have access to gas. Other stations in the area are hoping to re-gain access within the next few days.
