TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Local Boy Scouts are making an effort to give back to the community one Christmas Tree at a time.
The local Boy Scout group here in the Capital City held a Christmas tree sale to benefit both the Boy Scouts leadership activities, and those in need of holiday cheer.
Scouts we talked with say they always aim to be helpful and give back to their community.
"Part of the holiday spirit is to help others and just help others. So this one of the major things we can do to help our community. Especially in this time when a lot of people are in need we sell Christmas trees and we donate a lot of trees to people who are in need," said Colin McGorty, with the Boy Scouts', troop 115.
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the largest youth organizations in the country.
