TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office is calling for residents to take part in its Citizens Academy.
Classes include riding with a deputy during a tour of duty, touring the detention facility and courthouse, attending a SWAT demonstration at the law enforcement academy, and shooting some of the high-powered weapons used by deputies.
It starts February 27.
