TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Police have arrested the suspect in a Tuesday night shooting in Tallahassee.

William "BJ" Fletcher called police Tuesday night saying he had shot someone and was going to turn himself in to the jail.

Leon County Schools Spokesperson, Chris Petley, says that Fletcher is a bus driver for Leon County Schools who was put on administrative leave.

According to authorities, he and another man were fighting at a home on Eltham Park Road. That's when police say Fletcher shot Randy Parker in the leg.

Parker was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Those on the scene told officers he was the ex-boyfriend of one Fletcher's sister.

Fletcher is being charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Fletcher also works for the Aioli and Fletcher Bails Bond Company. One of the owners says he maintains Fletcher's innocence and says the altercation between Fletcher and Parker was a result of Fletcher's sister being abused by Parker.
