Leon County Detectives Looking for Bank Fraud Suspect

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect in a bank fraud investigation involving counterfeit checks that exceed $145,000.

According to the sheriff's office, the suspect is a female who has opened accounts with counterfeit documents and deposited counterfeit checks with large amounts of money into these accounts. Police say that she has withdrawn in excess of $64,000 after depositing over $145,000 in counterfeit checks.

The sheriff's office says that the suspect was captured by surveillance cameras riding in a white2000-2004 BMW SUV driven by a black male.
