LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Hurricane Michael victims living in Jackson County and Gadsden Counties are getting a little help during their hard times thanks to the Leon County Sheriff's Office.

LCSO delivered goods like food, cleaning supplies, tarps, baby supplies, and toiletries to the counties Tuesday morning.

The office collected donations for the last week to send to those in need.

LCSO partnered with Talon Gun Range, the Leon County Humane Society, and Immanuel Baptist Church to make the drive happen.

"I was able to go over and see firsthand within the first 12 hours after the storm, the damage that Jackson County had endured and it was heartbreaking," said Mike Wallace with LCSO Media Relations. "Now just to see with some of the hatred that we see in our, all of the outpouring of love that people are having for each other that don't know each other. I'm extremely proud and humbled to be a part of this effort."

LCSO said they're going to continue to provide assistance in anyway possible.
