Juvenile Charged in String of Burglaries

WAKULLA COUNTY, FL. (WTXL) - The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office have made an arrest after a sting of burglaries and vandalism.

Deputies arrested a 16-year-old juvenile in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries and vandalism cases involving approximately 11 victims in the Brook Forest subdivision Friday, May 8th. 

According to Sheriff Charlie Creel, the juvenile and two other subjects were going through vehicles on Oakwood Trail and spray painting vehicles. 

The juvenile also stole a firearm out of one of the victim's vehicles but dropped it when he ran from the scene. The firearm was recovered by law enforcement.

The juvenile is being charged with felony criminal mischief, criminal mischief and burglary.

The case investigation continues and additional arrests are anticipated.
