JACKSONVILLE, FL (wtxl) - A Jacksonville woman, who is charged for firing a gun at her estranged husband and his two sons, has taken a plea deal.

Marissa Alexander claimed self defense in the 2010 shooting.

The Florida Times-Union says, she is charged, with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Alexander will receive credit for the 1,030 days she has already served.  They say she must serve 65 more days, returning Monday, to be released January 27th.

The state waived the minimum mandatory 20 year prison sentence under the deal.
