JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Jackson County man on the run for sexual assault has been arrested.
Clay Dewitt Brunson was taken into custody around 9 p.m. Thursday at a Marianna motel.
Jackson County deputies had been searching for him since last Saturday after a woman claimed she found Brunson hiding in her backseat.
She told deputies he hit her on the head and took control of her car and repeatedly assaulted her throughout the night.
She eventually escaped and reported the incident at the hospital.
Brunson is being held on a $125,000 bond.
