MARIANNA, Fla. (WTXL)--Jackson County deputies respond to what was first thought to be a hostage situation over the weekend.

They say the people inside a home refused to come outside Sunday afternoon because they feared the attackers may still be in the house on the bottom floor.

Deputies eventually made contact with the people inside who said they'd been attacked.

After further investigation, deputies say the hostage situation was a hallucination. Investigators say they found remnants of a "shake and bake" meth lab.

Matthew Tyler McDaniel, Damien Joseph Hines, and Madison Star Douglas are charged with possession of meth, attempt to manufacture meth, and felony criminal mischief possession of drug paraphernalia.
