TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - An international engineering company unveiled its newest research lab and it's right here in Tallahassee.
The company Danfoss officially opened its Application Development Center at Innovation Park.
Danfoss broke ground on the building almost a year to the day.
The company also showed off the first of three chambers it will use to test the energy efficiency of refrigerants.
Ricardo Schneiderm, the president of Danfoss Turbocor Compressors said, "The cost of energy growing in some countries is really driving to find solutions to be more efficient, to do more with less. And that is the labs, that is built to collaborate and test new ideas to innovate and combine different technologies to improve energy efficiency."
Danfoss employs about 200 people in Tallahassee at the manufacturing facility next to the new center.
