FLORIDA (WTXL) - Hurricane watches have been issued for the Florida Peninsula.
According to the NWS National Hurricane Center in Miami, Fla., a storm surge watch has also been issued in the area.
They say that the surge watch has been issued for the Florida Peninsula from Jupiter inlet southward and around the peninsula to Bonita Beach, including the Florida Keys.
A hurricane watch has been issued for the same areas and includes Lake Okeechobee and Florida Bay.
