Holiday changes coming to the City of Thomasville

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The City of Thomasville offices will be closed December 24, 25 and January 1 in observance of Christmas and New Years. Because of the holiday observances, some City services will be affected. City services’ schedules are as follows:

• Energy Control Center

Regular 24-hour operational schedule

• City of Thomasville Residential Refuse

Week of December 24, 2012 Tuesday residential customers will have pick-up Wednesday, December 26. Regular schedule will resume Thursday, December 27. Week of December 31 (New Years) Tuesday residential customers will have pick-up Wednesday, January 2. Regular schedule will resume Thursday, January 3.

• Thomas County Residential Refuse

Week of December 24, 2012 Customers with Tuesday pick-up will have their trash picked up Wednesday, December 26. Week of December 31 (New Years) Customers with Tuesday pick-up will have their trash picked up Monday, December 31.

• Yard Trash

There will be no yard trash pick-up December 24, December 25, and January 1. As yard trash pick-ups have no specific day assigned to any one residence or street, this will not affect the pick-up of any resident’s yard trash.

• Commercial Refuse

Week of December 24, 2012 Customers with Tuesday pick-up will have their trash picked up Monday, December 24. Week of December 31 (New Years) Customers with Tuesday pick-up will have their trash picked up Wednesday, January 2.

• Country Oaks Golf Course

Country Oaks will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 24 and Monday, December 31.

o Tee Times are recommended.

Country Oaks will be closed December 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday.
