TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - With Thanksgiving in the rear view mirror, many people are in full-out Christmas mode and that means finding the perfect Christmas tree.
The Havana Christmas tree farm opened on Saturday.
Last month, Hurricane Michael ravaged Havana and left many without power for several days.
Having no electricity was a challenge for the tree farm, but the business said it only faced a few setbacks.
"We had real concerns about the trees and how they were gonna handle it, but, actually, the trees held up really well. It actually cleaned up some of the pines that had a lot of old straw in them," said Gift Shop Manager, Christin Bortz . "The only issues we really had were we lost power for several days, 9 days, so we we kind of fell behind getting some of the trimming, planting, and everything we normally do that time of year."
Despite the hurricane's impact, the tree farm said it's actually seen more business this year compared to the same time last year.
