GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida Governor Rick Scott paid a visit to Gadsden County Tuesday afternoon.
Governor Scott met with county officials, commissioners, and leaders to talk about the damage in the county.
Scott says the biggest lesson he learned from the hurricane is the importance of communication.
"The sheriff's get more information than anybody else. They get more phone calls, they know everybody in the community, so I've worked to get everybody to get talking to the sheriffs, get utilities to talk to the sheriffs, everybody talking to the sheriff," said Scott. "But you also have to talk to everybody, you have to talk to your county commissioners, talk to your mayors, everybody is going to get a little bit different information..so get people communicative."
Scott adds the reason he is visiting counties is to see first hand what each community needs.
