DAVIE, Fla. (AP) - Gov. Rick Scott is spending the day in South Florida for several events.
He will visit Western High School in Davie on Monday morning. Scott will present 21 students and limo driver Danny Izzi with the Florida Highway Patrol Certification of Appreciation for helping to save seven people from an overturned vehicle.
He then heads to The Boys and Girls Club, also in Davie, where he will highlight investments in the clubs as part of the Florida Families First budget.
His last stop in South Florida is scheduled in Boca Raton in the afternoon. There he will speak about funding for Quick Response Training for job growth in the Florida Families First budget.
