GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Hall County sheriff's officials say a student was injured in an accidental BB gun shooting at Johnson High School in Gainesville.

Officials say a student was showing his BB gun to a classmate in the school's media center when it accidentally discharged and shot a student who was sitting nearby.

Authorities say the injured student was wounded in the back of his head. Two 17-year-old boys have been charged with possession of a weapon on school property. One of them was also charged with marijuana possession.

Both have been suspended and are being held in the Hall County Jail. The Associated Press typically does not identify juvenile crime suspects.
