CECIL, GA (WALB) - Community members in Cook County are speaking out Wednesday after a man was found dead.
The Cook County Sheriff's Office responded to an unresponsive 66-year-old Windfred Hardrick Tuesday morning in Cecil, Georgia.
The GBI says, the Cook County Sheriff's Office found the body of Hardrick just after 11 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Donte Thomas has lived in the area for over 40-years and says, she recalls Hardwick as a nice man.
"I know him as a nice man, older man, he didn't talk much, but he loved to explore and he liked to play hide and seek," said Thomas.
Officials say Hardwick had medical issues.
It's unclear the cause of death.
GBI Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy.
CECIL, GA (WALB) - The GBI's office in Douglas is assisting the Cook County Sheriff's Office in a death investigation.
On June 5, Winfred Hardrick, 66, was found dead in a home in the 100 block of Lawson Lane in Cecil.
Hardrick's body will be sent to the GBI medical examiner's office for an autopsy.

Back in January, Hardrick was reported missing after walking away from his home. He was found safe a few days later.
