TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Commuters along Gaines street will have a slightly smoother drive this week.
Tomorrow, crews will begin paving the final layer of asphalt on the North lane of Gaines street between railroad and Woodward avenues.
Once this is complete, traffic will shift back to its regular position on the north side of the road.
This is expected to occur Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning.
Gaines street will remain a one-lane, one-way westbound road as crews prepare for final paving of the south lane.
Two-way traffic is expected to be restored by the end of the month.
