GADSDEN COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - After being sworn in on Monday, two new deputies are joining the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office.
Deputy Derrick Porter and Deputy Kevin "Drew" Faircloth were sworn in by Sheriff Morris Young in his office chambers.
"I am not only thrilled to fill two deputy positions with quality individuals, but I welcome them as we look forward to their support of the Gadsden County Sheriff Office's core missions in the preventing of rime and citizen safety," said Sheriff Young.
The new hires are being assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division, according to Sheriff Young. They will also have to complete an 11-week field training program where they will learn standard operating procedures and the basics of patrol operations.
