GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Saturday afternoon, dozens of people came out to hear from some of the candidates in the running for the Gadsden County School Board.
Seat 3 candidates, Leroy McMillan and Antonio Bradwell, and Seat 4 candidates, Eddie Allen Jr. and Gail Bridges-Bright, spent their afternoon answering questions from the audience.
Important issues on the minds of voters included school safety and funding.
"I think its important to be informed on what's happening in our school system," said forum attendant Katrina Bradwell. "Our children are our future and we want to know what these candidates will bring to the table because its our future at stake here."
The candidates were brought together thanks to United Gadsden and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Committee of Chattahoochee Florida, Inc.
The primary election is August 28.
