TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The funeral for fallen Leon County Deputy Chris Smith was held Tuesday at Bradfordville First Baptist Church.
Deputy Smith was killed in the line of duty Saturday after a man shot him after Smith was one of the first responders to a house fire.
The service was held at noon at Bradfordville First Baptist Church. Following a funeral procession in Tallahassee, interment was at Oakfield Cemetery in Monticello.
Deputy Smith was with the Leon County Sheriffs Department since 2009 and had been serving in law enforcement since 1989.
