TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Authorities say all lanes on Capital Circle NE are blocked after a crash involving a semi-truck caused a fuel spill.

The Tallahassee Police Department says they are investigating a traffic crash that happened around 3:29 p.m. Tuesday afternoon near Capital Circle Northeast and Easterwood Drive.

TPD and emergency responders were called to the scene for the accident and immediately provided medical attention. Two occupants were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injures.

Due to a fuel spill from a semi-truck involved, all north and south bound lanes on Capital Circle Northeast have been shut down, between East Park Avenue and Mahan Drive.

TPD is asking motorists to avoid the area. The Tallahassee Fire Department is currently working on cleaning up the spill.

As of 4:41 p.m., the city's traffic map is reporting heavy congestion on all lanes of Mahan Drive in between Capital Circle NE and North Blairstone Road.
