TIFT COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - A southwest Georgia farm is testing out a new idea to deliver boxes of fresh produce straight to the customer.
Spring Hill Fresh is a new business venture of Lewis Taylor Farms in Tift County.
Owner Bill Brim says the boxes will provide fresh produce weekly to families at a marginal price compared to the groceries stores.
The fruits and vegetables are picked the day before they are packaged. He says this is what makes their products fresher than what you may buy at the grocery store.
Consumers also have the convenience of picking up this produce once a week.
The company is testing out the idea in Tifton right now. They plan to expand their sales to a wider area of Georgia in the next few weeks.
