VALDOSTA, Ga., (WTXL) -- Four people are charged in Valdosta following a robbery at a local food store.
27-year-old Jonathan Washington and 17-year-old Marcus Preaster are accused of going into the J & K Foodmart, Wednesday, around 7:40p.m.
Both were wearing all black, with bandanas covering their faces, and demanded money from the clerk.
The suspects got away but customers inside the store were able to give police a description.
Police said, immediately after, witnesses saw two men with the same description running away from Eddy and Betty's Store on South Lee Street, jump into a maroon vehicle, and speed away. The vehicle was spotted traveling on Old Statenville Road.
Four people were arrested. Washington and Preaster are charged with armed robbery, and two counts of aggravated assault. 26-year-old Charles Hawkins, and 20-year-old Brittany Moore were also arrested, and charged with armed robbery, party to the crime, and aggravated assault, party to the crime.
Police said additional charges are possible.
